Congratulations to Ava who gained a bronze medal for U14 mixed 2km Beach rely and Alessandra who gained a bronze medal for U14 girls Tube rescue in the recent Surf LifeSaving New Zealand Under 14 Championships Oceans 2020.
Some challenging surf conditions with some big surf and tough competition, both girls showed outstanding performances at this national event, with over 800 competitors across the country including a club from Australia. They represented their club Lyall Bay SLSC with pride, and showed great sportsmanship throughout the event.
Congratulations to all the students nominated for the College Sport Wellington - 2019 Sportsperson of the Year Awards. A big congratulations to Esther Kozyniak who was a finalist for Cross Country / Road Race and to Sophia Higgs, who took out the female Volleyball Player of the Year at the College Sport Wellington Awards Dinner for 2019.
On the 27th of April, the last weekend in the school holidays, students from the Year 13 PE class took part in the XTERRA Starlight run held at the Wainuiomata Trail Park as a training event for the Tough Guy and Gal Challenge in May. The steady uphill climb was worth it for the amazing views at the top. Thank you to all who were involved.

The ever-talented Helena has been identified by WaiBOP and selected to compete with the Under 14 Girls NZ Football Nationals held in Wellington in December from the seven football federations around New Zealand. Helena is one of the five girls from the North Wellington AFC that made the 2018 Age Group Tournament Squad.
Helena had a successful time competing in the McCartney Tournament held in Taupo in October playing in the country's largest football tournament.
